The Lord called Alfred L. Blair, 69, of Haskell, AR home on February 8, 2015. He was born on January 22, 1946 in Benton, AR to the late Alton Lafayette and Annie Blair.
Alfred lived in Benton all his life. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and is remembered as a "super-trucker". The two most important things in Alfred's life were his family and his church, New Jerusalem. He worked hard to provide for his family and always took time to make lifelong memories that the family will cherish forever. He loved to joke and aggravate everyone around him, and couldn't tell a story without using his hands.
He is survived by wife, Priscilla Blair of Benton, AR; 5 sons, David Lloyd Blair and wife Larhonda of Malvern, AR, Marty Mobley of Malvern, AR, Steven Blair of Benton, AR, Michael Mobley and wife Paula of Malvern, AR, and Glen Blair and wife Christine of Lonsdale, AR; daughter, Janet Hoffman and husband Jeff of Haskell, AR; 2 step-sons, William Schane and wife Kim of Traskwood, AR, and Michael Schane of Corpus Christie, TX; step-daughter, Rebecca Clemons and husband Matt of Benton, AR; 3 brothers, Arlie Blair, Acie Blair, and Buddy Blair;3 sisters, Helen Pierce, Linda Witham, and Letha Caple; 26 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; as well as many family members and friends who loved Alfred and will miss him always.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 12th from 10:00 AM to Noon at Smith-Benton Funeral Home. Graveside service, officiated by Bro. Elvis Sanchez, will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park at 2:00 P.M. Family requests memorials be made to New Jerusalem Church, 9702 Highway 229, Traskwood, AR, 72167.
