Andrew Eugene Poole, 27, of Maumelle, Arkansas passed away January 3, 2015 in Monterrey, Mexico. He was born October 20, 1987 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Ben F. Poole and Janet Johnson Poole.
Andrew was a wireless engineer at Hewlett Packard. He attained Eagle Scout ranking in Boy Scouts of America, had a positive influence on everyone he met, and his smile lit up a room. Andrew was adventurous and loved being outdoors. During his youth, he participated in soccer and swimming. In high school, he focused on swimming and diving. He enjoyed all outdoor sports, including hiking, camping, rock climbing, and sky diving. He was of the Methodist faith.
Andrew is survived by his parents; 2 grandmothers, Aubie Mae Thompson Poole of Jonesboro, LA and Dorothy Simpson Johnson of Shreveport, LA; 2 uncles, Sidney Paul Johnson and David Johnson; aunt, Shirley Johnson Curry, and many other family members and friends who loved Andrew and will miss him always.
Andrew is preceded in death by grandfathers, Ben F. Poole, Jr. and Cecil James Johnson; and uncle, Eugene Lawrence Poole.
Funeral service, officiated by Rev. Beth Waldrup, Saturday, January 17th, 2015, 2:00 P.M., First United Methodist Church, 1201 Edgewood Dr. Maumelle, AR 72113. Private entombment at Riverwood Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Smith-Benton Funeral Home. Online guestbook: www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
