Danny Wayne Calhoun, 62, of Rosston, Arkansas passed away January 16, 2017. He was born October 14, 1954 in Magnolia, Arkansas to the late Hollis Calhoun and the late Nadine Calhoun
Danny served in the United States Army, where much of his service was spent in Germany during the Vietnam era. He was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal. Danny was also a "roughneck" working in the oil field.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis Calhoun and Nadine Calhoun Tinsley; and infant daughter, Misty Calhoun.
He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Angela Richardson and husband Steve of Royse City, Texas and Jacqueline Calhoun of Searcy, Arkansas; two sons, Darrell W. Calhoun of Royse City, Texas and Dustin Calhoun of Oklahoma; host of grandchildren; sister, Nina Johnson and husband Lynn of Bauxite, Arkansas; brother, Gary Calhoun and wife Penny of McNeil, Arkansas; twin sister, Diane Phelps and husband Robert of Jonesboro, Arkansas; step-father, Coy P. Tinsley of Waldo, Arkansas; special friend, Sharon Aldridge; and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends who loved Danny and will miss him always.
Graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Holly Springs Cemetery, 253 Nevada 124 Rd., Rosston, Arkansas 71858. Visitation will be held at the cemetery one hour prior to service. Services entrusted to Smith-Benton Funeral Home, a certified veteran's funeral care provider.
