Danny Wear

Our Family sadly announces the passing of Danny Floyd Wear on March 12, 2014. Danny was born March 18, 1948 at home in Benton Arkansas.
Danny spent most of his life in Coos Bay Oregon, where he graduated from North Bend High school. Right out of high school he joined the Navy and served on the USS Kittyhawk one year in Viet Nam at the peak of the fighting and the rest of his tour traveling around the world from Japan to Australia, always sending cards and gifts back home to his Mother who was his favorite person in the world.
Completing his service to his country with an honorable discharge he returned to his home in Coos Bay went to work at Georgia Pacific hardboard plant and mastered the skills of a Millwright, Electrician, and Mechanic.
Danny married his wife, Debbie Coonse and they had a son Daniel who now lives in Crescent City, CA.
Danny was never afraid to accept a challenge. As he was going to Millwright school he taught himself to play the drums and master the guitar to the point that he was recognized by professionals and wrote songs and cut records with some of country music greats including Buck Owens and the Buckaroos. He never gave up his love of performing whether on stage, in a recording studio or at a nursing home, any audience would do. For Danny, wrestling alligators and herding rattlesnakes with a twitch of his brow was not out of the question.
Danny always living life to the max. We can only think this is not his end, but his passing onto the next great performance with a band of Angels in Heaven. They will be lucky to get him, and he will be sorely missed by his family and loved ones.
Danny is survived by son Daniel Wear, his brothers Samuel and Richard Rudder and his sisters Geneva Hamilton of Coos Bay, Audrey Shultz of North Bend and Debbie Fry of Homer AK. As well as many nephews and nieces.
Private burial will be at Social Hill Cemetery with memorial service held at a later date.
