Gary Wayne Markell, 74, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas passed away August 6, 2015. He was born September 17, 1940 in Plentywood, MT to the late Athol Desmond and Clara Louella Brown Markell.
Gary proudly served in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Lions Club and Masonic-FAAM and worked as an auctioneer.
Gary leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Karie A. Brown and husband Michael, Pamela S. Markell-Jansen; eight grandchildren Jason Brown, Ryan Ilie and wife Alina; Nicholas Brown and wife Katie; Scott Brankshire and wife Chantel, Jared Brown, Cody W. Jansen, Austin S. Jansen, Tyler A. Jansen; three great- grandchildren Avidan Ilie, Charlotte Brankshire, and Xzander Ilie; one brother, Douglas R. Markell and wife Rosa; one half-sister, Patricia Slagle; beloved life partner, Joanie Hird; adopted daughter, Darlene Coon; as well as many other relatives and friends who loved Gary and will miss him always.
