Harriett E. Hand, 80, of Benton, AR passed away September 5, 2014. She was born September 11, 1933 in Los Angeles, CA to the late Warren and Ruby Reeser Schofield.
Harriett moved to Arkansas in 1966. She was a bookkeeper for ACI-Coors for fourteen years and worked for Fred's for fourteen years. Harriett was a "big-time" yard saler. She loved anything Betty Boop and her doll collection.
Harriett is survived by her son, Craig Dale Burbank of Benton; son, Dean Burbank and wife Sandy of Benton; daughter, Diana Bratton Ritchie and husband Jerry of Benton; son, Jackie Hand and wife Sheila of Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Mark, Georgeann, David, and Danny; great-grandchildren, Parker, Stella, Chloe, and David (D.J.); her beloved dog, Mouse; as well as many other family members and friends who loved Harriett and will miss her always.
Harriett was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Warren K. Schofield; and companion, Owen Swaims.
Visitation is Wednesday, September 10th, 2014, 6:00 - 8:30 P.M. at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, AR 72015. Funeral service is 11:00 A.M., Thursday, September 11, 2014, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
