Jimmy DeWayne Weser was born December 5, 1949 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He passed away December 27, 2016 in Redfield, Arkansas.
Jim graduated from Benton High School in 1967. He attended State College of Arkansas (UCA). Jim retired from Granite Mountain Quarries after thirty-eight years of employment. He was a Vietnam veteran. Jim was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association, National Turkey Association and the VFW. Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and would give to anyone who needed help.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Charles Weser; mother, Josephine Simpson Weser; brother, Robert Weser; and his legal guardian dad, Martin Dills.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving wife of forty-eight years, Jacqueline Petty Weser; two daughters, Kim Weser of Redfield, Arkansas and Jenny Eddins of Stuttgart, Arkansas; son, Jimmy Weser, Jr. of Damascus, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Allie Weser, Noah Weser, and Emmery Weser; three brothers, Gene Weser of Dumas, Arkansas, Stan Weser of Punta Gorda, Florida and Max Poye of Goshen, Arkansas; sister, Jody Lavender of Greece; legal guardian mom, Betty Dills of Detroit, Michigan; and many more family members and friends who loved Jimmy and will miss him always.
Reception visitation will be held Friday, December 30, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, Arkansas. Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Smith-Benton Funeral Home.
