Juanita Hester

Juanita Lea Hester, 81, of Benton, Arkansas went to be with the Lord July 1, 2018. She was born September 19, 1936 in Adona, Arkansas to the late Vernon and Cordia (Cody) Chism.
Juanita was of the Missionary Baptist Faith. Everyone loved her and she loved everyone in return. She was a wonderful mother, wife, and sister. Family remembers her being a "Fashion Diva" and that she had a great sense of humor. She was a sweet person and had a forgiving heart.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years, Stanley E. Hester, and daughter, Cheryl Dawn Hester.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughter, Karen Carter and husband Ike, III of Benton; grandson, Ike Carter, IV; great-grandchild, Jillian Marie Carter; four brothers: James Edward Chism and wife Ruth of Benton, Joseph Darrell Chism of Benton, Jimmy Ellis Chism and wife Christine of Benton, and Terry Vernon Chism and wife Kay of Benton; three sisters: Betty Jean Abbott of Benton, Sarah Belle Wilbourn of Bryant, Arkansas; and Darlene Frances Covert and husband Frank of Benton; and a host of family and friends who love Juanita and will miss her always.
Reception visitation will be held from 11:00 AM-Noon, Thursday, July 5 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas. Funeral service, officiated by Bro. Jeff Hulsizer, will follow at 12:00 PM. Burial at Social Hill will be assisted by Greg Chism, Dennis Chism, Jeff Covert, Paul Covert, Steve Chism, Dylan Chism, Jay Whitmire, and Brent Abbott serving as pallbearers.
