Kayla Nicole Goodell, 14, of Benton, Arkansas passed away March 27, 2017. She was born February 4, 2003 in Phoenix, Arizona to Jason and Cassidy Whittaker.
Kayla was a student at Bryant Middle School. She enjoyed reading and writing and dreamed of becoming a famous author.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, affectionately called "Grango", Kay Finley; great-grandmother, Nancy Rans; and aunt, Evelyn Smith.
Left to cherish her memories are parents, Jason and Cassidy Whittaker of Benton, Arkansas; sister, Joline Whittaker of Benton, Arkansas; grandfather, Kurt Goodell of Bryant, Arkansas; grandmother, Ruth Whittaker of Prescott Valley, Arizona; aunts, Suni McClelland and husband John of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Karen Dragone of Prescott Valley, Arizona, and Teresa Maple and husband David of Delaware, Oklahoma; and a host of extended family members and friends who loved Kayla and will miss her always.
Reception visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 PM, Monday, April 3, 2017, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, Arkansas. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Friends and family are urged to wear purple in honor of Epilepsy Awareness.
