Madeline (Bolt) Gerloff passed away June 14, 2014. She was born on October 26, 1955 in Houston, Texas to the late Ted and Lois Bolt.
Madeline loved the Lord and was a Godly woman. She is remembered for being a fantastic cook and baker. Some of famous recipe's included holiday cookies and cakes, the "best lasagna ever tasted", chicken and dumplings, almond pound cake, and many others. Madeline and her husband would ask neighbors if they could pick figs off their trees to make her delicious Strawberry-Fig preserves. While living in Houston, a party was not complete without Madeline's famous chicken salad and punch. Madeline and John enjoyed traveling the Natural State. They would drive searching for special places to bring their family to.
Madeline is survived by her loving husband, John B. Gerloff, Jr. of Benton, AR; son, Joshua Ryan Gerloff of Benton, AR; two sisters, Ticia Bolt of Little Rock, AR and Marilyn Baker of Benton, AR; brother, Carl C. Bolt of Benton; nieces and nephews, Brian Baker, Amber Jimerson, Michael Jimerson, Jenny Baker, Gina Jimerson, and Ashley Hilton; and many other family members and friends who loved Madeline and will miss her always.
Madeline was preceded in death by her parents and grandmother, Mary Ava Bolt.
Funeral service officiated by Rev. Eddie Kitchens will be Friday, June 20th, 2:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, AR 72015. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial to follow with pallbearers Joshua Gerloff, Brian Baker, Michael Jimerson, and Damon Maguire assisting.
