Melinda Beth Hancock, 50, of Benton, Arkansas passed away July 31, 2014. She was born to the late James and Fran Glen Campbell on August 21, 1963 in Kansas City, MO.
Melinda graduated high school in 1981 from St. Teresa's Academy in Kansas City, Mo. She graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in 1985. Melinda married Chuck Hancock on August 23, 1986. She taught first grade at Malvern Elementary school where she loved her kids.
Melinda is survived by her husband, Chuck Hancock, of Benton, AR; two daughters, Krista and Jordan Hancock of Benton, AR; brother, Steve Campbell; step-father, Gordan Whener; two step-sisters, Paula Whaley and Patti Whener; step-brother, Gordon Whener, Jr., as well as many other family members and friends who loved Melinda and will miss her always.
Melinda was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Joe and Tim Campbell.
Memorial service officiated by Rev. Lori Slaymaker is Tuesday, August 5th, 2014 at 2:00 P.M., St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 1112 Alcoa Rd, Benton, AR 72015. Memorials may be made to The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
