Remona Dean Roberts, 81, of Benton, Arkansas passed away March 27, 2017. She was born January 17, 1936 in Knobel, Arkansas to the late Orla Amos and Nina Barcus Davidson Smith.
Remona loved the Lord with all her heart and was a member of First Baptist Church in Benton. She served as a greeter at the church and baked birthday cakes for members. Remona was a volunteer at Saline Memorial Hospital where she knitted baby bonnets for newborns. Her true passion was her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul Smith; and sister, Mary Baxley.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 53 years, David Roberts of Benton; three daughters: Melissa Landreth and husband Eddie of Benton, Karla Roberts of Bauxite, and Sharla Trantham and husband Tony of Haskell; son, Bob Roberts and wife Tracy of East End; six grandchildren: Valerie Tiller, Meagan Landreth, Olivia Landreth, Dallas Robertson, Alyssa Robertson, and Crystal Marvel; great-grandchild, Destiny Marvel; brother, Larry Smith and wife Loretta of Raleigh, North Carolina; two sisters, Karen Griggs and husband Boyd of Arizona and Sue Conway and husband Roger of Paragould, Arkansas; and a host of extended family and friends who loved Remona and will miss her always.
Reception visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, March 30 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, Arkansas. Funeral service, officiated by Bro. Clay Cunningham, held at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 31, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home with burial following at Smith-Rosemont Cemetery.
