Arlene Joann Lee, 75, of Benton, Arkansas passed away September 2, 2019. She was born October 17, 1943 in San Pedro, California to the late William and Blanche (Fryer) Baxter. Arlene loved the Lord and was a member of Northside Church of Christ. Family was special to her and she enjoyed taking care of them and spending time with them. She was always looking for ways to please people and make others happy. She never sought out praise for what she did, but did all with a cheerful heart. Arlene was a great corresponder- she always kept in touch with friends she met during her travels with her husband by writing letters and sending cards. Arlene was a talented seamstress, and enjoyed knitting, needle work, and cross stitch. She and her husband enjoyed traveling in their RV and were long time campground hosts in South Dakota. Arlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Preceding Arlene in death are her son, James R. Lee; parents; and brother, Samuel Baxter. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of fifty-four years, George Lee of Benton, Arkansas; daughter, Mitzi Ann Wright and husband Richard of Globe, Arizona; thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Blanche Lall and husband Lester of Washington; brother, Robert Baxter of Hesperia, California; and many more family members and friends who love Arlene and will miss her always. Services will be held by Beasley Wood Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas.
