Arthur Stuart

Arthur "Artie" J. Stuart, 74, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, one of the last dinosaurs, passed away January 22, 2018 where he was surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 20, 1943 and eventually made his permanent home here in Arkansas.
Working as a paper boy, he saved up enough money and at age thirteen, he bought his first Harley Davidson. Live to ride and ride to live is what he did. As a devoted biker, he traveled to places such as Daytona, Sturgis, and Colorado and participated in toy runs. He was a gun enthusiast and well-known for his impeccable and delicious cakes.
Artie worked most of his life in the construction business and later joined the postal service in Texas. He was transferred to Arkansas where he retired in 2007. Artie was always up for a challenge to fix anything he could get his hands on but only after he "ciphered" on it. He proved his talents by creating a way for the Little Rock post office to run more efficiently. Artie served in the United States Air Force from 1961-1964 as a jet mechanic. Of those four years, he did a tour at the Osan Air Base in Korea. He learned the language and his love for Kimchi. Artie's way of getting his children's friends to go home was to open a jar of Kimchi. He had nicknames for everyone and liked to confuse people with "balking tackwards."
Artie is survived by his wife, Dee with twenty wonderful years of marriage; his daughter, Theodora and husband Buck Bollinger; son, Harley and wife Charity; proud Grandpaw of Christopher, Kaylea, David, Nadia, and Haley; his Aunt Augie; sisters: Elaine and husband Anthony, and Joanne and husband Dave; nieces, nephew, and a host of long-time dear friends.
Artie was preceded in death by his father, Art Stuart; brother, Jerry; and grandparents.
