Cecil Harold Dodgen, 74, of Benton, Arkansas passed away September 13, 2017 at Alcoa Pines Nursing Home. He was born November 23, 1942 in Alexander, Arkansas to the late Joe Wesley and Hazel Dodgen.
Cecil was an accomplished guitar player and belonged onstage in Nashville. He enjoyed fishing with his wife. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Cecil leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Dodgen; two daughters, Tammy Hoff and husband Patrick of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Carla Barnes and husband Robert of Minot, North Dakota; four grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Hull and husband Thomas of South Carolina and Shirley Pine and husband George of Haskell, Arkansas; and a host of family members and friends who love Cecil and will miss him always.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 19 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home with funeral service following at 11:00 AM. Burial following at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
