Deirdre Maureen Bender, 50, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away August 18, 2019. She was born November 14, 1968 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to Penny (Edrington) Goodson and the late Richard Bender.
Deirdre worked as a certified nursing assistant. She loved being with her family as much as possible. Deirdre lived a simple life and enjoyed flowers, dogs, and helping others.
Preceding Deirdre in death are her father, Richard Bender; and grandmother, Grace "Pa" Bender.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Lauren Renee Via and Christopher Everett Via of North Little Rock, Arkansas; mother, Penny Goodson and her husband Roy of Paron, Arkansas; brothers: Sean Goodson of Paron, Arkansas and Earl Bender and his wife Melanie of Alabama; sisters: Debbie Newlon of Paron, Arkansas and Melissa Henry of Scott, Arkansas; step-mother, Mary Bender of North Little Rock, Arkansas; fiance', Bruce Gregory and his sons Robert and Theodore Gregory; and many family members and friends who love Deirdre and will miss her always.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 PM, Friday, August 23, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas. Memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM.
