Diana Pomeroy, 64, received her wings and joined her heavenly family on Sunday, May 17, 2020. Young at heart, Diana loved playing games, fashion, music, traveling, southern food, worship, and spending time with her family and friends. Diana loved people with her whole heart and greatly enjoyed her work as a Director over two Pathfinder facilities until her retirement. She was funny and sassy and kept people on their toes just to make life more interesting. Just ask a staff member like Tiffani Phonsavatdy or good friend Mary Durnam at Four Seasons Assisted Living and they will tell you she was a wonderful hoot! The love of her life had to be her granddaughter, Destiny, whom she raised until her health became an issue. She will now be Destiny's guardian angel in heaven.
Diana was preceded in death by her mother, Melba Estes of Russellville, Arkansas; father, Charles Jackson of Bragg City, Missouri; and her daughter, Angela McMInn of Atkins, Arkansas. She leaves behind to cherish her memory stepfather, Johnny Estes of Russellville, Arkansas; two brothers: Jimmy (Janelda) Jackson of Atkins, Arkansas and Roger (Joyce) Jackson of Kennett, Missouri; three sisters: Judy (Rick) Quinata of Palm Springs, California, Wanda (Danny) Yarbrough of Mabelvale, Arkansas and Teresa Ridgeway of Sherwood, Arkansas; granddaughter Destiny Strawbridge; grandson, Billy McMinn Jr; and a host of family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to CHI St. Vincent New Outlook, 2 St. Vincent Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205. This is a wonderful program that provides free wigs, hats, and other services to women with cancer and suffering from the harsh effects of cancer treatments.
The family will be holding a private ceremony and celebration of life at a later date.
