Ezra Wingfield, 88, of Benton, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on June 21, 2018. He was born January 9, 1930 in Okolona, Arkansas to the late Raymond and Claribel (Hall) Wingfield.
Ezra loved God, life and people.
Ezra was a warrior for God and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church where he served as Lay Leader and was active on various committees, including the Salem Campmeeting Board. He loved the Lord with all his heart and was a great example of a Godly man and cherished his church family.

He loved having family and friends over for fish cookouts. Ezra served as President of the Circle D Camping Club. He was a member of the Falcon Club of America. Ezra owned many Falcon cars and loved traveling to many states for regional and national meets. He met so many people and forged friendships across the United States. A place very dear to his heart was Davidson Methodist Campground in Hollywood, Arkansas where he attended campmeeting with his family each summer.
Ezra received License #4 from the Arkansas State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors. He worked as an ambulance dispatcher and driver, embalmer, and funeral director. He retired from Murray-Ruggles Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Following retirement from the funeral home, he moved to Little Rock and worked and retired as a supervisor at Coleman Dairy.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty-nine years, Laura Wingfield; son, David Wingfield; parents; siblings: Christine Wagner, Glendean Roberson, and Dale Wingfield.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughter, Kay Powell and her husband Keith of Benton, Arkansas; grandchildren: Andy Powell and wife McKenzie; Lindsey Wingfield, and Brian Wingfield; two great-granddaughters: Goldie Powell and Zoe Wingfield; siblings: Hazel Peters, Austin Wingfield and his wife Ola Merle, Ray Wingfield and his wife Hilda, Bert Wingfield and his wife Jackie; and a host of family and friends who love Ezra and will miss him always.
