Garland Stuart Ferguson 74, of Benton went to be with the Lord on September 20, 2019. Garland was born October 21, 1944 to the late Ezra and Margaret (Burke) Ferguson.
After finishing high school, Garland earned his Bachelor's degree and worked at the Arkansas Department of Health as Director of Alcohol & Drug Prevention for over 40 years.
Garland is survived by a son, Stuart Hoahwah and wife Isis of Benton; two sisters: Judy Marek and husband Richard and Rose Mushrush of Alma; and many family members and friends who love Garland and will miss him always.
He is also preceded in death by his sister, Ellen Ferguson.
Private services were held.
