Homer Wayne Bridgeman, age 71, passed away peacefully at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, surrounded by his family on Thursday, October 10, 2019. He was born on November 8, 1947 in Newport, AR.
He was preceded in death by his father, Homer J Bridgeman, his mother, Mary Helen Smith, his sister, Sandy Dark and his grandson Jobey Machycek.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Margaret Ann Bridgeman; 2 sisters, LaDonna Turpin of Malvern, AR and Cathy Bridgeman of Hot Springs, AR; 1 brother, Kelley Bridgeman of Hot Springs, AR; 4 sons, Homer Wayne Bridgeman, Jr (Anita) of Hensley, AR, Bobby Horton of Maumelle, AR, Joe Machycek of Mabelvale, AR, Johnny Machycek of Alexander, AR; 3 daughters, Shannon Bridgeman, Pattie Machycek and Cheryle Carroll all of Little Rock, AR; 14 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Homer enjoyed hunting, fishing and doing his daily crossword puzzle as well as spending time with family and friends. Homer retired from Arkla Gas after 35 years. He worked hard to provide for his family until he was physically unable to do so.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home, 322 Market Street., Benton, AR. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lake Conway to be announced at a later date.
