Stephen May

Stephen Douglas May of West Fork, Arkansas went home to his Lord where there is no more pain and sorrow on August 16, 2018. Stephen was born May 18, 1970 in Benton.
Stephen was a 1988 graduate of Benton High School. Stephen was in the United States Army from 1989-1992. His home base was Fort Nix, New Jersey. Stephen served in the helicopter division overseas in Germany during Desert Storm. He worked for Bell International as a Diesel Mechanic. Stephen worked with Tye Pennington on Extreme Home Makeovers on several projects. One being on Morgan Nicks' mother's home in Alma. Stephen also worked with Perry Butcher Architects in Roger, Arkansas. He attended Northwest Technical Institute and learned Architectural drafting and was awarded for being on the honor society at NTI in 1999. Stephen held several certificates and diplomas in computer programming and was Microsoft certified. Stephen was an auto-mechanic and his hobby was working on vehicles for his friends.
Stephen was preceded in death by his step-father, Richard Dacus; grandfather, Clinton Burnett; grandmother, Mary Oleson; and uncle, Owen Bullock.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Ann Dacus of Benton; father, Fred May of Texas; two sisters: Debbie Edwards and husband James and Vanessa Tillman and husband Tim; life partner, Vera Deboard and her son Josh Farrington and her two daughters; two sons: Clinton and Christopher May; and a host of family and friends who love Stephen and will miss him always.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 27 at Smith-Rosemont Cemetery, 1010 Military Road, Benton, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors in Stephen's honor.
