Will D. Middlebrooks went to his heavenly home on June 19, 2019. He was born September 5, 1930 in Bastrop, Louisiana to the late John Ellerd and Agnes (Laing) Ellerd.
Will loved the Lord with all his heart and was a member of First Pentecostals of Benton. He read his Bible faithfully and shared the gospel with everyone he met. Will proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Will had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone. He could fix anything and was great at working on cars and air conditioning. Will's favorite things were his Bible, trains, and cheeseburgers.
Preceding Will in death are his wife, Lucy Middlebrooks; his son, Phillip Middlebrooks; infant daughter; parents, John and Agnes Ellerd; brother, James Middlebrooks; and sister, Norma Taylor. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his niece, Kelly Epperson and her husband Jesse of Benton, Arkansas; nephew, Todd Taylor and wife Patty of Haskell, Arkansas; brother, Marvin Middlebrooks and his wife Lois of North Richland Hills, Texas; several nieces and nephews; family members; and special caregiver, JoEllen Dunn. Reception visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 PM, Monday, June 24, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas. Graveside service, officiated by Rev. O.D. Crabtree, Rev. Burrell Crabtree, and Rev. Jeff Harrison, to follow at 1:15 PM at Smith-Rosemont Cemetery, 1010 Military Road, Benton, Arkansas. Services entrusted to Smith-Benton Funeral Home.
